This website is operated by Piyush Naik (piyushnaik.com). When you visit this site, contact me, or subscribe to my newsletter, I collect certain information about you. This policy explains what I collect, why, and how it's used.

2. What I Collect

I only collect what's necessary. Here's what that looks like:

  • Contact form submissions — your name, email, and message when you reach out
  • Newsletter sign-ups — your email address and content preferences
  • Usage data — pages visited, time on site, device type (via Google Analytics, anonymised)
  • Cookies — basic session cookies and analytics cookies (Google Analytics)

I do not collect payment details, national ID numbers, or sensitive personal data.

3. Why I Collect It

  • To respond to your enquiries and service requests
  • To send newsletters you've opted into
  • To understand how people use the site so I can improve it
  • To meet legal obligations if required

I don't sell your data. I don't share it with advertisers. Simple.

4. How Long I Keep Your Data

Contact form enquiries are retained for up to 12 months unless you ask me to delete them sooner. Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' default settings (26 months).

This site uses the following third-party tools. Each has its own privacy policy.

These services may process your data outside India. They operate under their respective compliance frameworks (GDPR, etc.).

I take reasonable steps to protect your data — the site is hosted on a secure server, and I use reputable third-party tools. No internet transmission is 100% secure, but I don't take shortcuts here.

This site is not intended for children under 13. I do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has submitted data through this site, contact me and I'll delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

If I make significant changes, I'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
